General Manger Don-Scott Cooper to Depart A.C.T. for New Orleans' Le Petit Theatre

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced today that Don-Scott Cooper will depart the Bay Area's premier nonprofit theater organization after serving seven seasons as general manager. Cooper will begin his tenure as executive director of Le Petit Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana beginning Monday, December 4.
Guthrie Theater's Jennifer Bielstein Elected President of the League of Resident Theatres

The Guthrie Theater announced that Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein has been elected as president of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), the largest professional theater association of its kind in the United States, boasting 72 member Theatres in 29 states and the District of Columbia. Bielstein succeeds Timothy J. Shields, the managing director of McCarter Theatre Center, and began her three-year term in May 2017.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) is proud to open a new performance space, The Costume Shop. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee helped celebrate this momentous occasion at the opening celebration event, which took place today from 4:30 to 6 p.m., and was attended by A.C.T.'s family of artists and supporters, as well as representatives from numerous arts organizations around the Bay Area.
