The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its tenth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, is delighted to present NANCY ANDERSON (3X Drama Desk Nominee), BRIAN CHARLES ROONEY (featured in the last Broadway revival of The Threepenny Opera), CAROLYN MONTGOMERY-FORANT (Nightlife Award winning nightclub star), and three bright young stars that have emerged out of the Broadway's Rising Stars concerts at Town Hall, EMILY IAQUINTA, BRIDGIT ORI, and DOMINIQUE SOLANO.

Generations mix and The Great American Songbook's writers are in the cabaret mix--starting with Irving Berlin (photo)--when star of stage/TV/film (and, belatedly, cabaret) Anita Gillette and other established performers honor the composer-lyricist giant in the new series Cabaret Scenes with Cabaret Teens, at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room, as part of the 'weekend matinee shift.'
Anita Gillette, Karen Wyman, Steve Ross and More Join Teens for IRVING BERLIN Tribute at Metropolitan Room, 8/3-4

Generations mix and The Great American Songbook's writers are in the cabaret mix--starting with Irving Berlin--when star of stage/TV/film (and, belatedly, cabaret) Anita Gillette and other established performers honor the composer-lyricist giant. Veteran stars like Gillette will join forces with young teen performers in the new series Cabaret Scenes with Cabaret Teens, at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room, as part of the "weekend matinee shift." Steve Ross, the veteran globe-trotting entertainer dubbed the "Crown Prince of Cabaret," and well-versed in the verses and choruses of Berlin, will guest on August 4, along with vocalist Frank Dain, who is also the editor of Cabaret Scenes Magazine, the only print magazine specializing in cabaret. The program is titled for its non-profit Foundation as a beneficiary for the concerts, along with charities serving needy teens. Nightclub and record star Karen Wyman will also sing and add her perspective, while also guesting is multi-award winning vocalist Karen Oberlin.

The future of the Great White Way was featured in one unforgettable night with the brightest talent selected from some of the nation's finest theatrical institutions: AMDA, University of Cincinnati, Circle in the Square, Marymount, The New School, NYU's Cap 21, Steinhardt, and Tisch, and Pace University.
