Toronto Symphony Orchestra Single Tickets On Sale September 16 for Concerts in First Half of Season
Single tickets to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's previously announced 2021/22 season will go on sale September 16, for concerts through to February 2022. Single tickets for the remainder of the season will go on sale at a later date when there are updated capacity limits during the winter/spring months. The first half of the season will feature shorter concerts with no intermission and works selected for smaller ensembles to allow for distance on stage.
Nominations for the 2020 Dora Mavor Moore Awards Announced
At an online media announcement - pre-taped in front of Meridian Hall with physically distanced protocols in place - streamed June 8 on the Dora Awards YouTube channel, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 243 nominations for the 41st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
Recipients Announced For Montreal English Theatre Awards
The Montreal English Theatre Awards celebrated it's 6th Awards Ceremony in one of the city's most beautiful and historic theatres, the Ludger-Duvernay, made possible by a new partnership with the National Theatre School of Canada and its theatre venue, the Monument-National. The METAs Announce Nominees For The 2017-18 Season
At a community and media event held at the Monument-National's cafe on Thursday September 6th, The Montreal English Theatre Awards Committee announced the nominees for this year's Awards Ceremony. The Montreal English Theatre Awards (METAs) recognize and celebrate outstanding artistic work in Montreal's English Theatre. Established in 2012, the peer-juried awards exist to promote professional and emerging English theatre artists and companies, to heighten their visibility both regionally and beyond, and to elevate the level of critical discourse about theatre in Montreal amongst artists and with the community at large.

Theatre francais de Toronto is pleased to present Espoir/Espwa (the word HOPE in both French and Creole), a play written and performed by Haitian Canadian artists Edwige Jean-Pierre, Djennie Laguerre and Carline Zamar. Theatre Francais de Toronto to Present LES ZINSPIRES 3D
Theatre francais de Toronto will present Les Zinspires 3D, a universe filled with untamed emotions, existential angst, BFFs, and (anti)social media. Five short stories, all written by teens from across Southern Ontario, brought to life by Theatre francais de Toronto, reworked by professional writers and performed by professional actors. An exceptional, provocative journey for the wildly creative teenager in all of us! For the first time this year, there will be three performances for the general public: October 24 & 29 and November 1, with English surtitles October 24 and 29. There will also be school matinees from October 23 to 31.
