Florida Studio Theatre Presents Olivier Award-Winning Comedy, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

Florida Studio Theatre will produce the Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong, by Henry Lewis, Henry Shields, and Jonathan Sayer. This fast-paced comedy follows the opening night of an amateur theatre troupe's production of a 1920s whodunit, “The Murder at Haversham Manor.”

Williams. A Ghanaian-American playwright, Bioh sets the play in 1986 at a top boarding school in Ghana. The action centers on self-anointed queen bee Paulina (Ireon Roach) who aspires to win the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant in order to represent her country in the coveted Miss Global Universe Pageant. When Headmistress Francis (Crystin Gilmore) introduces Ericka (Victoria Byrd), a new student from Ohio, just before the audition, Paulina is unexpectedly faced with a formidable challenger, not just for the competition, but also for the attentions and loyalty of her crew.

Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced the cast for the New York premiere of  Surely Goodness and Mercy, a truly Keen story about an exceptional boy living a troubled life in Newark, NJ who does a good deed for an often unnoticed person.   Sarita Covington, Jay Mazyck, Brenda Pressley, Courtney Thomas, and Cezar Williams will star under Jessi D. Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) announced today that their production of A Christmas Carol, the third show of their 2017-18 Season, has become the best-selling show in the theatre's history. The previous record holder was It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, which notably also featured cast member Joel Colodner and director Megan Sandberg-Zakian.
