Review: Bearing Witness: SOMEONE WILL REMEMBER US at Trinity Rep
by John McDaid - Jan 31, 2025
Bearing Witness: SOMEONE WILL REMEMBER US at Trinity Rep. A searing, deeply human world premiere that gives voice to veterans, civilians, and refugees. We go to the theatre for many reasons. Sometimes, we crave the spectacle of a Broadway musical; sometimes, we seek the grip of a powerful drama.

by A.A. Cristi - Mar 3, 2020
Trinity Rep continues its 2019-20 Season with Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Sweat by Lynn Nottage. This Broadway hit is the story of the unintended consequences of community without opportunity. It is set during the Great Recession and in the years leading up to it in Reading, Pennsylvania, while friends try to stay afloat as their industrial jobs begin to disappear. This relevant and timely topic shines a light on American workers that are often forgotten.
Trinity REP Scores a Hole-in-One with August Wilson's RADIO GOLF
by Larry O'Brien - Feb 6, 2020
Some shows seek to entertain; think the first act of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. Some seek to inform; think the second act of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion. What director Jude Sandy has come up with in this amazing production of August Wilson's RADIO GOLF is a play that is both wildly entertaining and yet manages to grapple with the most serious conflicts of our time. RADIO GOLF is both powerful and hilarious, often at the same time. It's running time is over two hours and forty-five minutes, but, trust me, you'll never glance at your watch.
