Jeffrey Horowitz, Founder of Theatre for a New Audience, having led and grown the not-for-profit organization since 1979, will retire on August 31, 2025, at the end of TFANA's just-announced season of Shakespeare alongside plays by classical and contemporary playwrights.

The production stars Derek Smith as Romeo and Candy Buckley as Juliet, both of whom are skilled and strong performers. Adept with their characterizations as well as the Shakespearian dialogue. Their embodiment of characters conceived by Shakespeare as teens, but as mature adults is remarkable. They do so completely, and in every conceivable way.

Cast Announced for World Premiere of EVENTS at The Brick
The Hearth Theater Company in association with The Brick has announced casting for their World Premiere of Events, a dark comedy by Bailey Williams (I thought I would die but I didn't at The Tank), directed by Sarah Blush (Sehnsucht at JACK). The show will be presented at The Brick December 1-18.

Penguin Rep Theatre held its annual fundraising gala on Saturday September 10 in Stony Point. The 2022 honorees included Edie Falco, the multiple Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG Award winning actress, and stage manager Michael Palmer, who has overseen 20 productions for the Stony Point-based nonprofit professional theatre in Rockland and New York City.
