Is anyone out there? Is anyone listening? Are we alone? In 1977, NASA launched the twin Voyager spacecrafts to try and answer these questions. Aboard both is The Golden Record, an artifact intended to communicate who and what we are. After 43 years and over 13 billion miles, this proverbial message in a bottle is the farthest human-made object from earth.
Theater Mitu Premieres HOUSE OR HOW TO LOSE AN ORCHARD IN 90 MINUTES OR LESS
Theater Mitu presents the world premiere of HOUSE or how to lose an orchard in 90 minutes or less. HOUSE is created and performed by collaborating artists Kayla Asbell, Denis Butkus,Aysan Celik, Alex Hawthorn, Justin Nestor, Scott Spahr, Corey Sullivan, Ada Westfall, and Isabella Uzcátegui. Directed by Rubén Polendo, HOUSE begins performances at MITU580 (580 Sackett St, Brooklyn, NY 11217) on Friday, August 23, for a limited run through Sunday, September 8, 2019.
Theater Mitu Extends REMNANT Through September 21
Theater Mitu (announced today an extension for the world premiere of Remnant. Created by collaborating artists Ruben Polendo, Justin Nestor, Denis Butkus, Michael Littig, Scott Spahr, Corey Sullivan, Ada Westfall, Kayla Asbell, Attilio Rigotti, Alex Hawthorn, and Xiao Quan, and directed by Ruben Polendo, Remnant begins performances at MITU580 (580 Sackett St, Brooklyn, NY 11217) on Friday, August 24 and will now play an extended run through Friday, September 21, 2018.

Internationally renowned, New York City-based experimental theater company Theater Mitu explores the history, contradictions and mythology of the ever-complicated landscape of the US/Mexico border in a uniquely theatrical multi-media event. Led by Juarez born-and-raised artistic director Ruben Polendo, the company brings Juarez: A Documentary Mythology to The Los Angeles Theatre Center as part of the Latino Theater Company's 30th anniversary season. The limited 3-week engagement takes place Oct. 27 through Nov. 13.

Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts' Fall 2012 Classes Open for Enrollment
Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the company's professional training school, has announced its Fall 2012 schedule of classes now open for enrollment. ESPA will offer new classes including Comedy Writing, Advanced Libretto and Lyric Writing and Dialects 2: Russian. ESPA will also be offering two new workshops: Writing for TV: Making the Transition from Stage to Screen and The Pilot. Additionally, Tanya Barfield, whose show The Call is part of Primary Stages mainstage 2012-2013 season, will be teaching a special workshop, Finding Your First Draft.
