Deidra Shanell

Deidra Shanell is a Texas native, born and raised in Dallas. She is a recurring actor on Taylor Sheridan’s hit television series Landman, appearing in Seasons 1 and 2 as Margaret. Her film work includes appearing opposite Eddie Murphy in the Netflix feature Dolemite Is My Name, along with performances in several acclaimed short and independent films such as Tulip Hill (a period piece), Stevie & The Warehouse, and Acceptance. She has also held leading roles in the independent features The Briefcase and Secret Sisterhood Part II. On stage, Deidra delivered a raving-reviewed performance in I Stand Before You Naked, with additional theater credits including The Comedy of Errors and Wild Songs & Naked Souls. She approaches her work with deep gratitude for the creative journey and remains passionate about storytelling that is bold, honest, and transformative.
