The Apollo Victoria Theatre is a theatre that has hosted Wicked since 2006, and a theatre I know all too well having played The Wizard during the UK’s 10th anniversary in 2016 and returned in 2023. On this second return I discovered podcasts. The 1 hour 20-minute wait before my first entrance was made easier by listening, and this inspired me to create a series of my own.
The Mill At Sonning Theatre Names The Auditorium in Honor of Ray Cooney
The Mill at Sonning, the UK's only dinner theatre, has renamed its theatre The Ray Cooney Auditourium in honor of comedy legend Ray Cooney, whose classic farces have all been performed there, and whose incredibly generous financial support during lockdown helped ensure the venue's survival.

Exeter Fringe Festival Will Take Place This Summer With Over 100 Performances
In July 2019, the inaugural Exeter Fringe Festival will take place with over 100 performances at Exeter Phoenix and Barnfield Theatre across 10 days from 26 July to 4 August. There are 6 performance spaces featuring a wide range of fringe theatre, family theatre, comedy, music and dance. The inaugural Exeter Fringe Festival has been organised by Elaine Faulkner and Alex Jackson.
Local Primary School Children 'Dream Big' With Grand Theatre Pantomime Project
Ten local Primary Schools have taken part in a Grand Theatre project which saw performance poet and comedienne Emma Purshouse deliver creative writing workshops in schools throughout the year. This inspired them to write short bedtime stories, some of which were published in a book and all of the entries are now on display at the Light House in Wolverhampton until the end of January.
