WICKED Launches Fourth Annual Young Writers' Award
Wicked, the global musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has announced the fourth year of its "prestigious Wicked Young Writers' Award" (The Times). Spearheaded by Michael Morpurgo, award-winning creator of War Horse, the Award recognises excellence in writing, encourages creativity, and helps develop writing talent in young people between 5-25 years of age from all backgrounds and areas of the UK & Ireland.

The Wicked Young Writers' Award announced its winners for 2012 at a prestigious ceremony on 6th December at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, home of the award-winning musical Wicked. The ceremony was hosted by Louise Dearman, who stars as Elphaba, and prizes were presented by Michael Morpurgo, best-selling author of War Horse and Chair Judge of the Award.
