Review: IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE at Candlelight Music Theatre
Aisle Say considers something we’ve all thought about it. During episodes of grave doubt and seemingly unrelenting anxiety – whether it be family or financial or health – we have considered maybe the world would be a better place if we had not been born.
Negativland Share 'Fourth Of July' Track
Completely unbroadcastable, yet utterly embeddable, 'Fourth of July' is the second single from Negativland's new LP True False. About the track, Negativland says - 'As online living continues to invert the signifiers by which we recognize Left and Right, the most effective Culture Jamming today is surprisingly coming from the right. With a lead vocal sampled from a viral rant uploaded years ago on the night of an election, this is an anthem for everyone who's ever tried to use social media as a form of resistance.' True False is out 10/25/2019.
Negativland Announce New LP 'TRUE FALSE'
Negativland have announced their new LP True False and shared the track 'Discernment' on Billboard -- a mainstay of their live sets for nearly 20 years, yet unreleased until today. When talking about the track the band says, 'If our nervous systems have been conditioned to react to the language of broadcast media with instinctive skepticism, the skill we'll need to survive social media might just be discernment.' The band is joined by legendary drummer Prairie Prince and several self-playing pitch-detecting smart phones for the first single from True False. The new LP True False will be out 10/25.
BWW Review: LEND ME A TENOR at Candlelight Theatre
I understand why actors have a passive-aggressive relationship with critics. Over 30+ years of reviewing regional theatre, some don't make eye contact with me when they feel I have slighted or criticized them unfairly in a previous review…or worse yet…never mentioned them!

The Candlelight Theatre Presents ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, Beginning Tonight
This wildly popular comedic farce written by Joseph Kesselring revoles around two elderly sisters who are famous in their Brooklyn neighborhood for their numerous acts of charity but are as crazy as loons. Mix in a dollop of Teddy Roosevelt, a dash of Albert Einstein, and stir with an assortment of quirky characters and you get a lethal cocktail of murder, mayhem, and laughter. Come see what the N.Y. Times called 'a play so funny you will never forget it.'

BWW Review: Eagle Theater's CATCH ME IF YOU CAN
In itself, there is no plausible reason why this story line should warrant a Broadway musical. However, at the hands of the multi- talented Terrence McNally (book); Marc Shaiman (music); Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (lyrics) well, this venture does indeed “Fly, Fly Away.”
