Ynon Kreiz, Mattel Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who has transformed the company and spearheaded its global blockbuster film, Barbie, will receive the 2023 IFF Industry Leadership Award at the 36th ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles Opening Night Gala on November 1st.  Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Israel Film Festival, made the announcement.

A major new exhibition at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust opens today. The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do offers an expansive and timely presentation of Holocaust history told through personal stories, objects, photos, and film-many on view for the first time.
35th Annual Israel Film Festival to Honor Henry Winkler

The 35th ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli cinema and television in North America, will honor acclaimed actor/director/producer/author Henry Winkler with the 2022 IFF Career Achievement Award and real estate/philanthropist David Wiener with the 2022 IFF Humanitarian Award on April 29th during the Festival’s annual sponsor luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel at Beverly Hills.  The event serves as the launch of this year’s Festival which will take place May 5th – 26th both in-person and online, announced Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Israel Film Festival. 
New Core Exhibition To Open At NYC's Museum Of Jewish Heritage This June

Israel Film Festival in LA Awards $190K for Audience Choice Awards

The  Audience Choice Awards of the 33rd ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli films in the United States, presented in a tie vote both Incitement, directed by Yaron Zilberman, Israel's Official Selection to the 2019 Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film and Forgiveness, directed by Guy Amir and Hanan Savyon, with the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film and Picture of his Life directed by Yonatan Nir and Dani Menkin with the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary Film at the November 26th Closing Ceremony. For the first time, the winning filmmakers received a combined value of $190,000 in post-production services for their next film, the largest amount ever awarded by the Festival, courtesy of sponsor partners DCR Finance Corp, Los Angeles and Go Media Productions, Atlanta, Georgia, and OPUS Post Production, Tel Aviv, announced Meir Fenigstein, founder and executive director of the Festival.

THE 33rd ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, taking place November 12th – 26th, will present the U.S. Premiere of Incitement at its Opening Night Gala. Incitement is the winner of the Ophir Award for Israel's Best Feature Film of 2019 and Israel's Official Selection to the 2019 Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. The Gala on November 12th at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills will also honor two illustrious filmmakers: six-time Academy Award-winning producer Arthur Cohn with the 2019 IFF Lifetime Achievement Award as well as chair of WestEnd Films and Incitement producer Sharon Harel–Cohen with the 2019 IFF Achievement in Film Award, announced today Israel Film Festival Founder/Executive Director Meir Fenigstein.

Demi Moore Joins the Cast of BRAVE NEW WORLD On USA

Today USA Network announced that Golden Globe Award nominee Demi Moore (Ghost, G.I. Jane) will join the cast of BRAVE NEW WORLD. Moore joins previously announced cast including Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay, Harry Lloyd, Kylie Bunbury, Hannah John-Kamen, Sen Mitsuji, Joseph Morgan, and Nina Sosanya. Moore will play Linda, John the Savage's (Ehrenreich) brash, hard-living mother.
BRAVE NEW WORLD Series Rounds Out Cast

Kylie Bunbury (When They See Us), Hannah John-Kamen (Ready Player One), Sen Mitsuji (Origin), Joseph Morgan (The Originals) and Nina Sosanya (Killing Eve) have joined Brave New World, the series based on the the foundational Aldous Huxley science-fiction novel. They join previously announced series regulars Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay and Harry Lloyd in the series produced by UCP and Amblin Television.

$100,000 Awarded at the Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles

The 32nd ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli films in the United States, ended on a huge high note with its biggest audience in over three decades.  The programming consisted of 40 narrative films, documentaries, television series and shorts, including many U.S. and West Coast Premieres along with 25 leading Israeli filmmakers and actors in attendance. For the first time, the Festival awarded to the Audience Choice Award winners $100,000, granted by Festival sponsors BCL Finance Group, TUNNEL Post and Opus Post Production.  The funds will be divided among the winning filmmakers to produce their next films.
LGBTQ Films to Play 32nd Israel Film Festival

The critically praised and award-winning LGBTQ themed films The Cakemaker and Family in Transition will each screen at the 32nd Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, taking place November 6th – 20th. The Cakemaker, which had its U.S. premiere at last year's Festival, will have encore screenings this year in celebration of the film being named Israel's Official Selection for the 2019 Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film, and the documentary Family in Transition will have its West Coast Premiere.
Docs Aplenty at the Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles

The 32nd Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles, the largest showcase of Israeli films in the United States and taking place November 6th – 20th, will showcase two U.S. premieres, four West Coast premieres and seven Los Angeles premieres of documentary films. The Festival's Centerpiece will be a screening of the documentary Black Honey: The Life and Poetry of Avraham Sutskever and honoring its director Uri Barbash with the 2018 IFF Artistic Achievement Award.

Award Winning Producer Jason Blum To Receive 2018 Israel Film Festival Achievement In Film & TV Award

Multi-Academy Award nominated and Emmy Award winning producer Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse Productions, and award-winning Israeli director/screenwriter Avi Nesher, will be honored on November 6th at the 2018 Opening Night Gala of the 32nd ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles with the 2018 IFF Achievement in Film and TV Award and the 2018 IFF Cinematic Achievement Award, respectively. The honors, to take place at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, will immediately be followed by the Opening Night West Coast Gala Premiere screening of Nesher's new film, The Other Story, announced Israel Film Festival Founder/Executive Director Meir Fenigstein. Serving as Honoree Chairman of the Festival is Arnon Milchan, owner of New Regency Productions.
Tony, OBIE, and Drama Desk Award Winner Pam Mackinnon Named New Artistic Director At American Conservatory Theater

Following an extensive nationwide search,American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Board of Trustees and Executive Director Peter Pastreich today named Tony, OBIE, and Drama Desk Award winner Pam MacKinnon the new artistic director of San Francisco's premier nonprofit theater organization. MacKinnon succeeds Carey Perloff who will depart from American Conservatory Theater at the end of the 2017-18 season after 25 years at the helm. MacKinnon will begin planning the 2018-19 season alongside Perloff effective immediately. In addition, she will begin partnering with the leaders of A.C.T.'s world-class actor training programs and ever-expanding community programs, ensuring A.C.T. continues its role as the Bay Area's leading theater arts educational organization.
