THE OMNI ENSEMBLE starts its 41st season at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music with a program featuring Baroque and modern music.
The OMNI Ensemble Begins Its 37th Season

The OMNI Ensemble will begin its 37th season of concerts in the recital hall at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, November 16, 2019 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler, will be joined by violist Amadi Azikiwe and harpist Chelsea Lane for a concert of music for flute, viola, and harp. Works include Debussy's Sonata for flute, viola and harp, Maurice Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, David Stock's A Vanished World, Arnold Bax's Elegaic Trio and David Wechsler's Three Movements for flute, viola and harp. Continuing as the chamber music group in residence at the Brooklyn Conservatory, the OMNI Ensemble will continue to perform concerts of enormous variety all designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not ordinarily encountered by one chamber music group. Throughout the season they perform in the recital hall at the College of Staten Island and the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. The OMNI Ensemble Continues Its 36th Season With Trios Plus!

The OMNI Ensemble will continue its 36th season of concerts at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 8:00 pm. The program will feature music for flute, cello and piano. Also being performed are improvisations by The OMNI Ensemble featuring the Kora, an indigenous African string instrument. Music will be Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata op. 28, arranged for trio by Jim Lahti, Bohuslav Martinu's Trio for flute, cello and piano, Peter Schickele's Summer Trio, Michael Sirotta's Emanations Of Blue Light-A Rhapsody for Flute and Piano, and electronic and acoustic improvisations by The OMNI Ensemble featuring the Kora. Musicians are David Wechsler - flutes, John Cheek - keyboards, with guest artists Eric Cooper - cello and Salieu Suso - Kora.

The OMNI Ensemble will continue its 34th season of concerts in the recital hall of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, March 11 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler, will be joined by violinist Dan Auerbach, cellist David Bakamjian and harpsichordist Rebecca Pechefsky for an evening of music for flute, violin, cello and harpsichordWorks to be performed are J.S. Bach's Sonata for flute and harpsichord in B minor, George Phillip Telemann's Paris Quartet in D major, Jacques Ibert's Deux Interludes for flute, violin and harpsichord, Milos Raickovich's Passacaglia and Double Fugue on B-A-C-H and B-A-G-D-A-D, and the World Premiere of David Wechsler's Sonata for flute, cello and harpsichord. Continuing as the chamber music group in residence at the Brooklyn Conservatory, the OMNI Ensemble will continue to perform concerts of enormous variety all designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not ordinarily encountered by one chamber music group. The OMNI Ensemble will continue its 31st season of concerts in the recital hall at the Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, February 27th at 2:30 pm, and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, March 1, 2014 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler and cellist Brian Snow welcome harpsichordist Rebecca Pechefsky, and violinists Antonia Nelson and Caroline Chin in a program featuring Baroque and contemporary music played on period instruments for half the concert. Music performed will be J.S. Bach's Trio Sonata in G major, Francois Couperin's Trio Sonata La Superbe, Antonio Vivaldi's Sonata in G, Olga Nazaykinskaya's Trio Sonata, Mark Janello's Six Harpsichord Miniatures, and David Wechsler's Carmela'a Blue Fit for alto flute, violin, viola and cello. Continuing as the chamber music group in residence at the Brooklyn Conservatory, the OMNI Ensemble continues to perform concerts of enormous variety all designed to provide their audience with a musical diversity not ordinarily encountered by one chamber music group.
