Disney+ Begins Production on DIARY OF A FEMALE PRESIDENT
Production started this week in Los Angeles on Disney+'s “Diary of a Female President,” from CBS Television Studios, executive producer Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”) and Rodriguez's production company, I Can and I Will Productions. Emily Gipson (“Someone Great”) will also executive produce, along with creator Ilana Peña (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”) and showrunner Robin Shorr (“The Carmichael Show”).
ABC and Tiffany Haddish Team Up for KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS
ABC announced today that the network has picked up a new iteration of the classic variety show “Kids Say the Darndest Things,” hosted and executive produced by comedic superstar Tiffany Haddish. The hilarious reimagined format showcases a mix of in-studio segments and taped pieces from across the country, all set in front of a live studio audience. The series will capture Haddish's unique voice and sensibility as she interacts with real kids – and their innocently entertaining points of view. “Kids Say the Darndest Things” will air Sundays at 8:00 p.m. EDT during ABC's fall prime-time schedule, providing a solid three-hour block of family-fun programming, starting with “America's Funniest Home Videos” at 7:00 p.m. EDT and continuing with “Shark Tank” at 9:00 p.m. EDT.

Paramount Network Greenlights 68 WHISKEY
Paramount Network today ordered 10 one-hour episodes of 68 Whiskey, a new, scripted comedic drama series from Imagine Television Studios and CBS Television Studios. Oscar(R)-winner Brian Grazer will serve as an executive producer along with Oscar(R)-winner Ron Howard, Imagine Television Group Chairman Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius), Imagine Television President Samie Kim Falvey and Emmy(R)-nominated Roberto Benabib (Weeds, The Brink, Ally McBeal), who is also set to write. Zion Rubin, the creator of the Israeli television series Charlie Golf One, from which 68 Whiskey has been adapted, will also executive produce, along with Efrat Shmaya Dror (United Studios of Israel) and Danna Stern (yes Studios).
CBS Announces Plans for Television and Film Production Facility Near Toronto
CBS has secured a long-term lease on a 260,000 square-foot space located in the city of Mississauga, 18 miles from downtown Toronto, with plans to establish 'CBS Stages Canada,' a multi-use production facility that will include six soundstages, production offices, support facilities and auxiliary services for large-scale television and film production.

CBS Television Studios Announces New Five-Year Overall Deal with Alex Kurtzman and Secret Hideout Productions
Alex Kurtzman, a prolific writer-producer of film and television and co-creator of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, has extended his production agreement with CBS Television Studios through 2023. Under the agreement, CBS Television Studios will have exclusive rights to produce all television content created and developed by Kurtzman and his Secret Hideout production banner for the next five years. Heather Kadin serves as president of Kurtzman's company, and Aaron Baiers is senior vice president of television.
