On Friday, December 15 and Sunday, December 17, The Crossing performs the world premiere of David Lang's poor hymnal. Performances take place at Iron Gate Theatre at Penn Live Arts (12/15 at 6pm and 8:30pm) and at The Crossing's home, The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill (12/17 at 5pm).

This December, composer Phil Kline's mobile surround sound-sculpture UNSILENT NIGHT — a landmark in avant-garde public sound art — takes place in more than 35 cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Streets, parks and sidewalks will come alive with “a shimmering sound-wall of bells and chimes that is dreamlike to wander through in the December nip” (The Village Voice).
WBTT Announces Collaboration With Semkhor And FOUNDERS+

Westcoast Black Theater Troupe has entered into a collaboration with Semkhor and FOUNDERS+ to support the high-level education of local artists and the production of digital arts projects. The effort will bring nationally-recognized artists and filmmakers to the area to provide master classes at the theater; these classes will be offered free to WBTT artists and the community and provide a wealth of knowledge on acting and content creation.
