Joining FORGE from across the U.S. and the world–and bringing their expertise in a vast array of fields including video game design and hairstyling alongside screenwriting, live performance, visual art and multimedia –these sixteen makers have been awarded a fully-subsidized six-month engagement with FORGE NYC, bookmarked with 14 points of contact curated to help them build the skills, systems, plans, and practices that will carry them not only through their current projects, but their life's work as creators.

Directed by Seth Barrish (Director of Mike Birbiglia's The New One), 17 Minutes is scheduled to run at The Barrow Group Mainstage Theatre (312 West 36th St) from January 10 through February 15 with an opening set for January 22.

This inclusive and distinct curriculum addresses the unique conditions of working in theatre and facilitates a shift in the environmental status quo around sexual harassment by going beyond the minimum requirements for legal compliance.

The New Zealand native's matured production capabilities are on full display throughout the suspenseful opener “Get Down.' QUIX's use of organic-meets-electronic elements continues on “Giving Up,' a dreamy, future bass meets hard-hitting trap heater, and “Earthquake,' a colossal trap-dubstep hybrid that partners perfectly with Bok Nero's dominant flow. On Monday, August 27th, StageSource will host the Sixth Annual Greater Boston Theater Expo. The Expo brings together over 50 theater companies to share information, schedules and offerings for the upcoming 2018-2019 theater season - and many will be offering discounts, promotions, prizes and giveaways. The Sixth Annual Greater Boston Theater Expo offers a free, convenient and efficient way in an Expo-style/marketplace setting for theater artists and audience members to check out theater productions from their favorite companies and explore new organizations. With over 50 companies spanning the Greater Boston region, individuals will be able to meet representatives and artists from the region's fringe, small, mid-sized, and large theater companies, get information about upcoming productions, and take advantage of Expo-only ticket offers and giveaways. This fall, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) presents MAD Transformations, a series of six exhibitions showcasing artists who have transformed and continue to reshape the public perception of traditional craft mediums. Building upon the exhibition Voulkos: The Breakthrough Years, which celebrates the work of an artist known for drastically changing the way clay is categorized as an art material and discipline, the series considers fiber, clay, and jewelry and metals-disciplines that have composed the bedrock of MAD's founding mission and collection, and that continue to morph in the hands of contemporary artists today.
