Composers Concordance Presents ESTONIAN CONNECTIONS
On November 10th at 7:30pm at Symphony Space - Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre, Composers Concordance presents 'Estonian Connections,' featuring flutists Maarika Järvi and Monika Matthiesen, bassoonist Martin Kuuskman, and the CompCord Ensemble, conducted by David Rozenblatt. Cultures collide as works by contemporary Estonian composers are heard alongside those from American composers, inspired by the event's theme. Premieres include 'The Man Who Loved Locks,' based on Estonian legend, with music by Gene Pritsker and poetry by Erik T. Johnson. This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of The Estonian Ministry of Culture.

Composers Concordance's 8th Annual Festival - 'Animals' commences with 'Macro & Micro,' a collaboration with the 'Entertaining Science' series. To be presented at Michiko Studios in midtown Manhattan, this concert will be a study in music of the large and extremely small fauna.

Celebrating innovation and diversity in American ballet, the Kennedy Center presents the return of its weeklong Ballet Across America series, April 17 and April 19-23, for seven performances in the Opera House. Last seen in 2013, and illustrating the most exciting, creative dance happening across America today, this season's engagement explores new directions in the art form through programs curated by two of the biggest superstars in the ballet world: dancer-choreographer Justin Peck and principal dancer Misty Copeland.
Carolyn Dorfman Dance Unveils Collaborative World Premiere at NJPAC Performance and Gala Benefit
Carolyn Dorfman Dance, whose bold and dramatic works connect life and movement, hosts its annual performance and gala benefit at New Jersey's premiere performing arts center (NJPAC), Friday, April 8, 2016, at 8:00 p.m. Ten of Dorfman's stunning dancers will present the world premiere of Traces-her newest work in collaboration with her stellar artistic team from her award winning, Interior Designs. Her riveting and explosive Echad and the sensuous duet Keystone will also be performed during this celebratory evening. The Jerry Vezza Quartet will entertain during the pre-show reception, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and at the dessert reception following the performance. Traces will have its New York premiere the following weekend on April 16th, 8:00 p.m., at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC), Long Island City, Queens.

American composer Debra Kaye, will celebrate the premiere of Dance to Unknowing - a Klezmer Prelude performed by Olga Terlitsky and Mioi Takeda, violins, David Taylor, bass trombone, Matt Herskowitz, piano, Laurence Goldman, bass, and Cesare Papetti on drums. The Composers Concordance contemporary music concert 'All About Purim' will feature new compositions inspired by this festive Jewish holiday and will take place on March 23 at 7:30pm at the Goddard Riverside - Bernie Wohl Center located at 647 Columbus Avenue (between 91st and 92nd Street) in Manhattan.
