A.C.T. Presents Inaugural All Hallows' Gala in October

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) and gala co-chairs Kathleen Donohue & David Sze and Jeff Minick have announced the inaugural All Hallows' Gala on Friday, October 28, at San Francisco's August Hall (420 Mason St.).
American Conservatory Theater Announces Appointment of New Board of Trustees

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Executive Director Jennifer Bielstein and Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon announced the appointment of seven members to their Board of Trustees—Schatzie Allen-Jefferson, Jill Cowan, Kathleen Donohue, Rodney Earl Jackson Jr., Cristy Johnston Limón, Jomar Tagatac, and BD Wong.

Today, American Conservatory Theater and gala co-chairs Daivd Riemer and Abby Sadin Schnair announced A.C.T.’s 2021 Season Gala, a hybrid socially-distanced in-person and virtual fundraising event being held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. 
Tony, OBIE, and Drama Desk Award Winner Pam Mackinnon Named New Artistic Director At American Conservatory Theater

Following an extensive nationwide search,American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Board of Trustees and Executive Director Peter Pastreich today named Tony, OBIE, and Drama Desk Award winner Pam MacKinnon the new artistic director of San Francisco's premier nonprofit theater organization. MacKinnon succeeds Carey Perloff who will depart from American Conservatory Theater at the end of the 2017-18 season after 25 years at the helm. MacKinnon will begin planning the 2018-19 season alongside Perloff effective immediately. In addition, she will begin partnering with the leaders of A.C.T.'s world-class actor training programs and ever-expanding community programs, ensuring A.C.T. continues its role as the Bay Area's leading theater arts educational organization.
A.C.T.'s 2016 SUPERGALA! Raises Over $500K with Help from Jeremy Jordan

With the help of Tony and Grammy Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies on Broadway, NBC's Smash, CBS's Supergirl, and films The Last Five Years and Joyful Noise), and students from A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts Program and Young Conservatory, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) raised over $500,000 at its 2016 Season Gala, SUPERGALA!, which took place on Thursday, April 14 at the historic Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.
Emily Skinner, Jeremy Kushnier & More Set for Workshop of Bruce Hornsby Musical SCKBSTD at Signature Theatre

Continuing its ongoing efforts of supporting the development of new musicals and plays under its SigWorks program, Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA is currently workshopping SCKBSTD by Grammy Award-winning composer/lyricist Bruce Hornsby, lyricist Chip deMatteo and book writer Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J, Walter Cronkite is Dead) based on an original book by Clay McLeod Chapman (rest area, The Tribe Trilogy). The workshop will culminate in an invitation only presentation.
SCKBSTD Breaks Sales Record at Virginia Stage Company

SCKBSTD - A New Musical by Bruce Hornsby broke sales records at its recent world premiere production in Norfolk, VA at Virginia Stage Company. A joint production with Mike Rafael and David Riemer of Spiral Staircase, the three-week run's total gross sales of $236,363 at the Wells Theatre made it the highest selling season production in VSC history. The show's sales even topped the Company's 1989 world premiere of the Broadway-bound Secret Garden.
