Members of the Cygnet Salon cohort were asked how they’re getting through this hard year, and each spoke of writings or poetry that inspired them to find and nurture their resilience. This became Songs of Resilience, a Cygnet Salon staged reading produced and directed by Louanne Moldovan.
Open Space Arts Opens ROSENBERG This Weekend
Open Space Arts, the company formed in 2022 dedicated to combating homophobia and antisemitism through film presentations and live performances, will open ROSENBERG, the second of its two hyper-intimate, “micro-theater” dramatic productions to be staged in fall 2023.

Florida Rep's 2020 PlayLab Kicks Off November 5 With All-Virtual Festival
Florida Repertory Theatre's 2020 PlayLab Festival of New Works kicks off Nov. 5th at 7 PM with the virtual reading of 'Spay' by Madison Fiedler, and continues with LIVE virtual readings on Nov. 12, 19, Dec. 3, and 10. The Festival also includes a Playwrights' Panel on Dec. 11 at 3:30 PM, where the festival playwrights talk about their craft and take questions from the audience.

The powerfully moving play, THE WHITE ROSE: WE DEFIED HITLER, by David Meyers opened Friday, January 24, at The Coterie Theatre in Kansas City. The 70-minute play is produced in cooperation with the University of Missouri at Kansas City Theatre Department and produced with the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education. The show based on actual events runs at The Coterie through February 9.

In this season, under the theme of "Awakening," New Rep presents the New England premiere of WE WILL NOT BE SILENT, a docudrama by playwright David Meyers. Based on true events, the play focuses on one young German woman's resistance to Hitler and the Nazi party, her determination to maintain her principles and integrity in the face of grueling interrogation, and the price of her righteousness. Under the direction of Artistic Director Jim Petosa, with ever-increasing tension and drama, Sarah Oakes Muirhead and Tim Spears give riveting performances as the detainee and the detective who holds her destiny in his hands.

AN ACT OF GOD Opens In Wellfleet July 25
Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents David Javerbaum's comedy An Act of God, running July 25 - August 17. Directed by Daisy Walker, An Act of God stars Lynnette R. Freeman as God, Alexandra Lemus as The Archangel Gabriel, and David Meyers as The Archangel Michael. Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 29 - July 20. Two preview performances, July 25 and 26, begin at 7:30 p.m.
