BIO

David is the recipient of the 2000 Backstage Magazine Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Direction, the 2002 MAC (ManhattanAssociation of Cabarets and Clubs) Award for Best Musical Director, and the 2017 Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Duo with his stage partner Chuck Sweeney (akaMiss Peggy Lee) for their award-winning show Lee Squared – An Evening with Liberace and Miss Peggy Lee), David travels extensively throughout the United States and Mexico performing his one man tribute to the great Liberace.


He performed the role of Liberace in the Michigan Premiere of Brent Hazelton’s one man play Liberace! at Farmers Alley Theatre in conjunction with The Gilmore International Keyboard Festival in Kalamazoo MI for their 2017-2018 season. The show garnered nominations for two Encore Michigan Wilde Awards in the categories of Best One-Man Show, Best Performance by an Actor in a One-Man Show, and Broadway World Awards Detroit for Best Actor in a Musical. David reprised the role of Liberace at Theatre in the Circle in Cleveland OH in 2019.
Off Broadway he was the conductor/musical director/arranger/orchestrator for the Judy Garland musical I Will Come Back! by Hugh Martin and Timothy Gray at The Players Theater.

David is appearing in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Netflix Zombie Apocalypse Thriller Army of the Dead as Liberace. The film is scheduled for a late 2020 release.
