Rick Miller's BOOM Makes NYC Premiere At 59E59 Theaters
59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director), welcomes the NYC premiere of BOOM, written, directed, and performed by Rick Miller. Produced by Kidoons and WYRD Productions, BOOM begins performances on Thursday, January 9 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 23. Press Opening is Wednesday, January 15 at 7:00 pm. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:00 pm; Saturday at 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm; Sunday at 2:00 pm. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison). Sadler's Wells, London Co-Produces FRAME BY FRAME
Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, and Executive Director Barry Hughson, today announced that Sadler's Wells in London, England will co-produce Frame by Frame, a collaboration between renowned theatre artist Robert Lepage and Choreographic Associate and Principal Dancer Guillaume Cote. Frame by Frame makes its world premiere tomorrow, June 1 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto.

Thomas Ades will conduct the Metropolitan Opera premiere of his opera The Tempest in a series of performances beginning October 23. Robert Lepage directs a new production of the critically heralded English-language opera, with a libretto by Meredith Oakes based on Shakespeare's play. Simon Keenlyside stars as Prospero, with Audrey Luna in the stratospheric coloratura role of Ariel; Isabel Leonard as Prospero's daughter Miranda;Iestyn Davies as the jester Trinculo; Alek Shrader in his Met debut as the shipwrecked nobleman Ferdinand; Alan Oke as the gentle-hearted monster Caliban; William Burden as the King of Naples; and Toby Spence as Prospero's usurper brother, Antonio.
