DAVID KAR-HING LEE
David has developed a successful career in the performing art scene in the UK. From working as a dancer in West End musical performing in over 3000 shows over a decade to working as an adjudicator of dance, artistic producer, actor & choreographer in theatre, radio Television & Film.
West end highlights include the original London Production of Fame – The Musical, Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg’s production of Miss Saigon, Walt Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, Oh! What A Night starring Kid Creole, The King & I at the London Palladium, Elton John & Tim Rice production of The Lion King and the world premier of the smash hit musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang He has also recorded the original cast albums for many of the show.
During this time, he had the honour of working with great talent such as Jason Scott Lee, Gillian Lynne, Elaine, Michael Ball, Richard O’Brien, Miranda Richardson, Brian Blessed, Celia Imrie, Lindsay Duncan, Danny le Rue and Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney.
His radio & TV work includes Saigon – Year of The Cat, comedy play Wild Thing, Beijing’s Slowest Elevator, The Interpreter, Avenue Of Eternal Peace and secret agent Huang Fu Xing in Series 9 of Spooks on BBC television.
David is also the artistic producer for Nine Lives Films documentaries “A Tale Of Two Hippies” & “LOCO-motion” both directed by Stefan Archetti.
