Photos: First look at Little Theatre Off Broadway's THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
A parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s, the story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan. As he plays the record of his favorite musical, the fictional 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone, the show comes to life onstage, as he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors.

BWW Review: DEARLY DEPARTED - Light Comedy Perfection
I admit freely that I'm a huge fan of silly. I love English television comedy most because the Brits have a way of making fun of themselves in the most outrageously ridiculous situations, they never take comedy seriously. The Georgetown Palace Playhouse's production of DEARLY DEPARTED, while far from British, takes a page from the same book of silly with a no holes barred approach to laugh out loud theatre.
Bay Street Players Present DEARLY DEPARTED, Beginning 4/12
Bay Street Players will present the comedy Dearly Departed at the historic State Theatre in downtown Eustis, April 12 - May 5, 2013. Dearly Departed, a comedy by David Bottrell and Jessie Jones centers on the Turpin Family. When the patriarch of their family keels over dead in the opening scene, the family tries to plan the funeral, with sidesplitting results. Between the feuds, marital flings, and Macaroni and Ham Loaf Surprise - it may escalate into a multiple-coffin memorial service. By the time they sort through the hangovers, money problems, and headstone engraving options, they've learned that coping with life's losses can turn out to be drop-dead funny.
