Local 802 AFM Theater Musicians Launch 'Musicians Of Broadway' Website
The musicians who perform in Broadway productions have launched "Musicians of Broadway," a new website telling the stories of the union music professionals who bring theater to life in New York City. The website is available to the public at www.musiciansofbroadway.com.

Some of Broadway's most talented performers will swap their scripts and scores for sneakers and a stroll on Sunday, October 15, 2017, as they walk to support CaringKind, NYC's leading expert in Alzheimer's and dementia care for more than three decades. They'll join thousands of orange-clad New Yorkers for CaringKind's Alzheimer's Walk as the paths of Riverside Park become ribbons of orange.

Over the past couple of years Dave Roth has shared the story of his parent's struggle with Alzheimer's disease and so many people have responded with generosity. Studies have found that music has healing powers; and, your iPod donations have brought such joy to those suffering from this horrible disease. And Roth is pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual iPod Drive is underway.

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but Michael Cerveris, Elena Roger, Max von Essen, and the cast of Broadway's EVITA was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album. Check out our exclusive photos from their recording session below!
