The musicians who perform in Broadway productions have launched "Musicians of Broadway," a new website telling the stories of the union music professionals who bring theater to life in New York City. The website is available to the public at www.musiciansofbroadway.com.

Some of Broadway's most talented performers will swap their scripts and scores for sneakers and a stroll on Sunday, October 15, 2017, as they walk to support CaringKind, NYC's leading expert in Alzheimer's and dementia care for more than three decades. They'll join thousands of orange-clad New Yorkers for CaringKind's Alzheimer's Walk as the paths of Riverside Park become ribbons of orange.

Broadway musician and Alzheimer's Association advocate,Dave Roth, is announcing the launch of the 4th Annual Broadway Alzheimer's iPod Drive starting August 1st and running through August 19th. Dave's mother suffered from Alzheimer's disease and was stripped of awareness and language for the 3 years prior to her death this past December. Now his father suffers from the same disease. He brought his mother her favorite music with the use of an iPod and watched her sing words that he hadn't heard her speak in years.

Neil Simon has staked his claim as America's most prolific and popular dramatist and he certainly has made his mark on the CTC stage. Opening one week from today, THE SUNSHINE BOYS marks CTC's tenth production of a Neil Simon play including audience favorites THE ODD COUPLE, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, and most recently, PLAZA SUITE in 2012.

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but Michael Cerveris, Elena Roger, Max von Essen, and the cast of Broadway's EVITA was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album.
