The hosts of Netflix's Queer Eye Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Karamo and Bobby Berk will join the 28th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party with Honorary Chairs Sir Elton John and David Furnish in Los Angeles on February 9, 2020. British actor, singer-songwriter and BRITS Critic Choice Award winner in 2018, Sam Fender will perform at the Party, with Presenting Sponsors IMDb and Neuro Drinks. IMDb will once again broadcast its annual 'IMDb Live' streaming show during the party. The four-hour show will be co-hosted by Aisha Tyler and Dave Karger.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival announced today the first wave of recipients to receive the Virtuosos Award presented by UGG®, an honor created to recognize a select group of talent whose noteworthy performances in film have elevated them into the national cinematic dialogue. Awkwafina (The Farewell), Taron Egerton (Rocketman), Florence Pugh (Midsommar), and Taylor Russell (Waves) will receive the award on Saturday, January 18th, which will be moderated for the tenth year by Turner Classic Movies host and IMDb special correspondent host Dave Karger. The tribute will take place at the historic Arlington Theatre during the 35th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Chadwick Boseman, Jodie Foster, Jamie Foxx, Morgan Freeman (2011 honoree), Michael B. Jordan, Issa Rae, Julia Roberts and Cicely Tyson will all be in attendance to pay tribute to Washington's life and work. In addition, multitalented film, television and music video artist Melina Matsoukas (AFI Class of 2005) will receive the 2019 Franklin J. Schaffner Alumni Medal, recognizing her extraordinary creative talents.

TCM To Pay Tribute To Musicals In June Programming Special 'Mad About Musicals!'
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts.
