Dante Jayce is a New York based stage and screen veteran. An award-winning performer, he recently won the Audience?s Choice award at the 2017 SPF Boo Festival as the narrator of Masque of the Red Death. Dante also earned Best Ensemble Performance at the 2016 Planet Connections Festival, and was named one of the ?brighter talents? of the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival. Accolades accumulated during years spent studying acting in universities include the 2009 Charles Jacobs award, a spot in the 2010 KCACTF festival representing Kingsborough in the Irene Ryan competition, the 2012 Friars Foundation Scholarship for the Performing Arts, and the inaugural Dante Negro Memorial Award for his performance contributions at Brooklyn College, from which he graduated summa cum laude in 2013. (Battle Damage/Players Theatre), Oberon in A Midsummer Night?s Dream (Times Square Arts Center), Masque of the Red Death (2017 SPF Boo Festival), Helvetica (Planet Connections Festival), Frankenstein: The Radio Play (Times Square Arts Center), The Judge (Polaris North), Nocturnal (NY International Fringe Festival). Dante?s Film/TV credits include a recurring role on the popular Jon Tron Show, as well as lead roles in the short films La Cible, We Just Met, and More Than Stardust. He also acted in feature film The Raging Elephant, for which he did fight choreography as well. In 2019 Dante appears as ?Zol? in the NYC premiere of The Owl Girl (THML Theatre Company) and ?Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.? in Little Shop of Horrors (EPIC) at the Sheen Center. Known as ?The Ace,? Dante is a fixture on the independent wrestling circuit, currently serving as the color commentator, ring announcer, and backstage interviewer for the LAW promotion. His interviewing talents were also utilized as host of the 2017 Big Apple Comic Con. A former wrestler, he?s stepped back into the ring to compete several times over the last year as well. He also works with the Murder Mystery Company, where he travels around performing interactive theatre shows all over the Northeast. A versatile performer, Dante recently sang Off-Broadway at venues such as Joe?s Pub at the Public, the HBO Theater, and the Triad Theatre. He?s done stand-up comedy at The Footlight, and has starred in a Chock full o? Nuts statewide advertising campaign. He also teaches acting and stage combat to disabled adults. Dante has been called one of the most talented character actors of this generation. He brings an unmatched intensity to his roles. He has one of the strongest and most memorable voices in the acting industry, putting great pride into mastering different dialects. Equally adept at theatre and film, comedy and drama, and with a playing range consisting of everything from cold-blooded killers to sensitive souls, Dante?s versatility is unmatched.
