Adelaide Festival has announced its 40th program, promising a suite of international and Australian productions and artists which will further enhance its 65-year reputation as Australia's premier international festival.
TRACKER Returns To Wiradjuri Country
After lauded seasons at every major Australian festival throughout 2023 where it was hailed as 'the type of theatre that simply must be experienced” by Time Out Melbourne, Tracker heads back to the place from which it came with a special season at on Wiradjuri Country at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (‘DRTCC’) in October.
Three Shows Added to the 2025 Adelaide Festival
The opera Innocence, directed by prolific Australian director Simon Stone; Club Amourperformed by legendary German dance company Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater Wuppertal; and Australian Dance Theatre’s 60th anniversary show A Quiet Language are the first ticketed shows to be announced for the 2025 Adelaide Festival.

Adelaide Festival has announced Time to Talk, a series of roundtable discussions that will take place throughout February and March. Panellists will include artists participating in the 2024 Adelaide Festival program, along with key industry figures.

The 38th Adelaide Festival, to be launched this Wednesday 9 November, at Adelaide Town Hall and via livestream offers a total of 52 events in theatre, music, opera, dance, media and visual arts, including major festivals-within-the-festival Adelaide Writers' Week, UKARIA Chamber Landscapes and WOMADelaide – over 17 days and nights from Friday 3 to Sunday 19 March.
Australian Dance Theatre Announces Daniel Riley as Artistic Director
Daniel currently serves as a lecturer in contemporary dance at the Victorian College of the Arts, as well as working as an independent artist. He began contemporary dance at 12 years old. At 21, he joined Bangarra Dance Theatre for 12 years, creating numerous major works and receiving several nominations and major awards.
Sydney Opera House Presents DANCE RITES 2020
The Sydney Opera House will present its sixth annual Dance Rites festival online next month, bringing together 28 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance groups in a celebratory digital event with more than 350 performers spanning generations, nations and clan groups.
