Boston Ballet’s digital season will conclude with BB@yourhome: Process & Progress, an approximately one-hour long program featuring a collection of dance films by international choreographic and new-to-North America voices Ken Ossola and Nanine Linning, boundary-breaking choreographer Lex Ishimoto, and Boston Ballet Principal Dancer John Lam.

BWW Review: IMAGINARIUM at Raye Freedman Theatre
Choreographers Lesley Bandy and Hayz Pincheira Rowe along with Conductor Chad Davenport, have collaborated to create 'Imaginarium' a fusion of story, dance, band and song. The 55 members of the West City Concert Band are front right and centre in this performance, becoming integral visual parts of the story as they move and infuse within the the dynamics of the choreography.

Lucky Bird Media — comprised of Daniel Cooper, Susan Hubbard, Jake Lanier, and Maddie Corbin — is elated to announce Tom Avis of Hive Mind PR as the newest member of their growing team. Avis brings over half a decade of experience as well as critically acclaimed artists including Pile, Weaves, Jesca Hoop, Ellis, JEFF The Brotherhood and Homeshake, to the roster. Avis will maintain Hive Mind as Lucky Bird's Toronto branch, expanding the US company into Canada.

Performances will be held November 1-2, 2018, at 7:30 pm at Boston Ballet's South End headquarters (19 Clarendon Street) in an intimate, black box theater setting.

Bringing a book about volcanoes, tunnels, mud aliens and magical stones to the stage makes for some unique challenges and there had been a lot of talk of how it could be staged. Director Sara Brodie, who gained notoriety with her direction of the highly successful The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (Auckland Theatre Company 2016), has melded a technical team who have created a landscape of tension , thrill and drama for the performers to tell their story.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen has announced the 2016-2017 season roster. A total of 71 dancers make up the Company roster, with 57 in Boston Ballet, the main professional company, and 14 in Boston Ballet II (BBII), the second company.

Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen has announced the 2016-2017 season roster. A total of 71 dancers make up the Company roster, with 57 in Boston Ballet, the main professional company, and 14 in Boston Ballet II (BBII), the second company. A total of 17 nationalities are represented, with dancers from Brazil, South Korea, France, Georgia, and Australia, to name a few. More than 32 percent of the main company are BBII alumni and 18 percent are Boston Ballet School alumni. This year marks Principal Dancer Erica Cornejo's final season with Boston Ballet after dancing with the Company for 11 seasons. Cornejo will retire from Boston Ballet in May 2017 with final performances in The Sleeping Beauty.
