After a highly successful performance run in 2019, Bright Star returns to The Firehouse Theatre this September as a concert production! Bright Star features over 20 beautiful songs and tells a beguiling tale that unfolds in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina between 1923 and 1945. Billy Cane, a young soldier just home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, the brilliant editor of a southern literary journal.
The Firehouse Theatre Presents OSWALD, Starring Tony LePage
The Firehouse Theatre today announces the cast of its new developmental musical, OSWALD, which runs May 3-5, 2019 at The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch, Texas. The all-star cast includes three Equity actors from New York City for the special three-day presentation: Tina Stafford, who will play Marina Oswald-Porter, will be joined by two Broadway veterans, Justin Mortelliti, and Tony LePage, one of the show's writers, who will play out two possible versions of Lee Harvey Oswald's story simultaneously.
Brick Road Theatre to Present MAMMA MIA! This October
Brick Road Theatre will present the hit musical Mamma Mia! at Courtyard Theatre (1509 H Ave in Plano, Texas) October 19 - 28, 2018 directed by Katharine Quinn with music direction by Isaac Leaverton. The Firehouse Theatre (2016 BWW Award for Best Theatrical Venue under 500 Seats) in Farmers Branch, TX, unveils their big summer musical of Pippin, by Steven Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson. Pippin was originally directed for the Broadway stage in 1972 by Bob Fosse, and the 2013 Broadway revival earned 4 Tony awards including Best Musical Revival. The Firehouse Theatre will present their summer musical in a Big Top Circus presentation, similar to the style of the Broadway Revival production, including aerial performers, magic tricks, and death defying acts!
