The Rescignos: Merry Christmas to Paul, and to Paul a Good Night (feat. Robbie) a new holiday comedy show written by Paul Rescigno ('Mozart in the Jungle'; 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), Robbie Rescigno (Bravo's 'Odd Mom Out'; 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), and Mike Hadge (NEWSical: The Musical), will play the Duplex (61 Christopher Street) in NYC from December 6-8 and The Milton Theatre (110 Union Street) in Milton, DE on December 9.
York Theatre Company Presents MIDNIGHT AT THE NEVER GET
The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions. Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast will feature Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J. Peterson. Performances begin Tuesday, October 2, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2018 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is Thursday evening, October 11, 2018 at 6:45 p.m.
Mipso Announce Fall 2018 Tour
North Carolina's acclaimed indie-Americana darlings Mipso head back on the road this fall, hitting select markets in the Rocky Mountains and northeast for the first time since the April release of their new album, Edges Run. The tour kicked off last week in Nashville with an official showcase at the 19th annual AMERICANAFEST - which NPR Music highlighted as a “Best of AMERICANAFEST” - and stops in 20 cities over the next two months. The season culminates in early November with a short run of shows in the band's home region to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the band's 2013 debut release, Dark Holler Pop. Mipso & Friends: Dark Holler Pop Revisited hosts five shows in North Carolina and Virginia and features very special guests during the run including 10 String Symphony, Chandler Holt (Chatham County Line), Lula Wiles, and Kate Rhudy. CMA Foundation Honors 2018 Music Teachers of Excellence
The CMA Foundation honored 34 music educators during the third annual CMA Music Teachers of Excellence ceremony last night, Tuesday, May 8, at Nashville's Marathon Music Works. The invite-only event, hosted by RCA Records Nashville recording artist as well as CMA and CMA Foundation board member Chris Young, celebrated teachers from districts across the state of Tennessee as well as cities Chicago, Cincinnati, Los Angeles and Seattle for their advocacy and commitment to music education. More than a dozen Country artists and celebrities attended the ceremony in addition to Nashville Mayor David Briley, Metro Nashville Public Schools Superintendent Shawn Joseph, CMA and CMA Foundation board members, industry leaders, and representatives from eight CMA Foundation beneficiary programs.

The CMA Foundation created the Music Teachers of Excellence program in 2016 in an effort to recognize the best and brightest music teachers from Nashville and beyond.
