D'VORAH BAILEY is a singer and actress who has performed extensively on stage, television and in commercials. D'Vorah started performing at a very young age in school musicals and concert choirs in Dewitt, New York, a suburb of Syracuse. D'Vorah went on to study in the prestigious Musical Theater program at the University of Michigan led by the incomparable Brent Wagner, earning a BFA in Musical Theater.
After graduation, D'Vorah played the role of Sarah Brown in an international production of Guys and Dolls, touring through parts of Germany, Austria, Italy and Scandinavia. Upon her return to the US, she made her Broadway debut in the Hal Prince revival of Candide with Jim Dale, Jason Danieley and Harolyn Blackwell.
D'Vorah earned an MFA in Acting from The Old Globe Theater in San Diego, where she played Julia in Two Gentlemen of Verona and appeared in numerous other main-stage productions directed by theatre luminaries including Jack O'Brien, Mark Lamos, John Rando and Darko Tresnjak.
Throughout her career, she has performed in many shows including Threepenny Opera, A Little Night Music (Liebeslieder), Into the Woods (Rapunzel), Company (Kathy), Camelot, La Cage Aux Folles (Cagelle), Desert Song, and Evita.
D'Vorah has appeared on television in All My Children, Ed, Damages, and in the Merchant Ivory film Heights.
She has appeared in commercials, industrials, and print advertisements for numerous companies including Time Warner Cable (Homeland, with Claire Danes), Walmart, Aetna Medicare, US Cellular, Orkin, Office Depot, Hewlett-Packard, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Brighthouse Networks and many others.
D'Vorah has also worked as an Associate Director with Hunter Foster on the musicals Company and Ain't Misbehavin' at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA.
She also recently became a published author with a featured essay in the First Edition of Subplots, a Journal of the Perry Library of Theatre.
D'Vorah is a proud member of Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA.
