Daniel “DT” Willis is an American Scenic Designer for Stage, Film and Live Events.
DT has assisted a number of scenic designers on multiple projects since 2012 including Court Watson, Jesse Poleshuck and Tony Award™-Winning designers Clint Ramos and John Arnone.
His work has been seen on numerous professional Off-Broadway and Regional theatrical productions including: Appropriate (Signature Theatre), Booty Candy (Playwrights Horizons), Colored Museum (Huntington Theatre Company), Sunshine Boys (Guthrie Theater) and Stagger Lee (Dallas Theater Center) for which he was the Associate Designer.
Under lead designer Josh Zangen, DT provided design support on numerous high-profile projects including The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Pride and Prejudice The Musical (La Mirada), Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Lazaretto Tour with Grammy™ Award-Winning musician Jack White.
Between 2014-2017, DT was a resident scenic designer at Long Island's John W. Engeman Theater leading scenic design for countless productions such as: Evita, The Producers, The Full Monty, West Side Story (2015 BroadwayWorld Long Island Award- Best Set Design in a Musical), Mamma Mia, Memphis and 2017's Oklahoma!.
DT holds a BA in Technical Theatre from Pepperdine University, an MFA in Stage Design from Southern Methodist University (SMU) and is a proud member of The United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829.
