BWW Review: Singer D Scott Eads Celebrates CHRISTMASTIME IN THE KEY OF BING

D. Scott Eads brought his holiday show to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal entitled Christmastime in the Key of Bing Sunday December 1 to a packed house of loving fans. The show came in at about 100 minutes and is ideally suited to a theatre stage. Not only were we treated to a fine carol selection and to a bevy of guest stars, but Eads featured story readings that in a larger space could be staged with more creative flair. But, as is, it was more than a fulfilling evening of holiday mirth.
BWW Interview: BroadwayWorld Award Nominee D Scott Eads Talks Nomination and CHRISTMASTIME

Singer D Scott Eads was just nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award for his phenomenal show Shake the House presented at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal in September. In our conversation he talks about his nomination and his upcoming show Christmastime in the Key of Bing this coming Sunday December 1, once again at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal. How does it feel to be nominated for a BWW Award? It's very validating and gratifying to be recognized in this nomination, so it feels great! I have had a very busy year crafting and launching three different shows from three different eras and categories of music - with great audience response for each - and it's helped me grow in many ways. Without being cliche, it has been quite a journey. I really challenged myself on many levels and was also dealt some unexpected challenges but all-in-all, everything I've been through has been a growth
BWW Rreview: D. Scott Eads and His Combo SHAKE THE HOUSE

Singer D. Scott Eads returned to Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal for the third time Sunday September 29. and his latest show Shake the House proved indeed that the third time's the charm. It pulled together rock 'n roll chart toppers of the 50s and 60s covering Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison all the way up to Elvis and the Beatles. This is obviously Eads' kind of show The material suits his voice and musical style to perfection. He really got into the music, moving his body in rythym and stretching his vocal instrument to the max with power and passion. Owning the show, he captured our total  involvement in the process.

BWW Review: D. Scott Eads Returns to Sterling's With a Brand New Show

D. Scott Eads, who made a big splash last fall at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal in Legacy in the Key of Bing. returned to Sterlings Sunday February 17 with a brand new show entitled Love and Other Games. This show continued the musical journey with iconic singers/songwriters who established themselves in night clubs and 60s TV...and some on Broadway and film like Burt Bacharach. What a wonderful selection of music! Oldsters like myself really appreciate heaing great songs from the canon of American standards. Eads was backed throughout with a fabulous three piece combo: Todd Hunter, musical director, at the piano, Gary Wicks on bass and Kevin van den Elzen on drums. He was joined by special guest star Claude Hall, who simply sizzled onstage.
