BIO

D.L. Siegel received her BA in English and Theater from Princeton University and her MFA in Playwriting from The New School for Drama. She was a proud member of The Amoralists' inaugural Playwriting Residency, 'Wright Club, from 2015-2016. Her plays include: Untouched (Wyoming Theater Festival), Atalanta K.O. (Artemisia Fall Reading Series, The New School for Drama), Like the Last (Silver Spring Stage, The Amoralists), Chosen (Pink Banana Theatre Company, DUTF 2013, Gallery Players), and I Know What I Saw (Modern-Day Griot Theatre, Millibo Art Theatre, Independent Actors Theatre). D.L. also served as dramaturg and co-adaptor for Jeremy Duncan Pape’s Woyzeck, F.J.F., most recently mounted at The New Ohio Theatre by No-Win Productions. A born and raised New Yorker, D.L. currently resides in Brooklyn with her playwright husband and their beloved corgi, Sancho Panza.

THEATER at Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF) has announced the finalists for its 15th Anniversary season to run at the Cherry Lane Theatre and Joe's Pub at The Public Theater during spring 2017. The finalists were selected from over 100 submissions from some of the nation's most talented emerging playwrights. THEATER is produced by Creative Ammo Inc. and Reg E. Gaines, two-time Tony nominee, returns as THEATER's Artistic Director.

Downtown Urban Theater Festival Announces Finalists for 2013 Season

Next year will mark the much-anticipated 11th annual season of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival (DUTF) and from 120 submissions, DUTF has narrowed it down to 24 finalists. The decisions were extremely difficult due to the amazing plays received from gifted emerging writers who hail from across the U.S. and internationally from Canada, Israel and the United Kingdom.
