BIO

Cyd has been a member of the Chicago theatre community since 2003. During that time, she has worked with Griffin Theatre, Signal Ensemble, Theatre Seven of Chicago, Lookingglass Theatre, Steppenwolf Theater, Interrobang Theatre Project, The Side Project, and Jackalope Theatre. She was a founding member of the SiNNERMAN Ensemble where she acted and produced; appearing in their productions of Sweet Confinement, Ivanov (adapted and directed by Ensemble Member Sheldon Patinkin), Too Much Memory, and The Incredibly Famous Willy Rivers. She was also a proud Company Member of the Pavement Group and performed in MilkMilkLemonade, Girl, You Know It’s True, Breaks & Bikes, Arrangements, fracture/mechanics, and Buddy Cop 2.

Hailing from Fort Worth, Cyd earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and is a graduate of the School at Steppenwolf, where she had the chance to assist Mr. Jon Berry in teaching Viewpoints. Aside from theatre, she loves hanging out with her husband (fellow Ensemble Member Keith Neagle), her son Wesley, and her family – blood and theatrical.

The Gift Theatre will launch its 2020 Season with a revival of Martin McDonagh's masterpiece The Pillowman, directed by Laura Alcalá Baker, playing February 27 - March 29, 2020 at The Gift's home at 4802 N. During last night's Season Release Bash at Old Irving Brewery Co., artistic director and co-founder Michael Patrick Thornton proudly announced The Gift Theatre's 2018 season will include: Stacy Amma Osei-Kuffour's world premiere of Hang Man, directed by ensemble member Erica Weiss (February 9-April 8); Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Monty Cole (June 1-July 29); and the Midwest premiere of Tony Award-winning playwright and ensemble member David Rabe's Cosmologies, directed by Thornton (October 12-December 9).
