Arcadia tells the story of the lives of the Coverly family of Sidley Park, Derbyshire, England, in the years 1809-1812. Simultaneously, it also tells the story of the present day Coverly family of Sidley Park.
BWW Reviews: COMPANY Opens at the White Theatre in Kansas City
Company, the musical comedy about a single man turning 35, opened to a sold-out house Saturday February 8 at the White Theatre in Overland Park, Kan. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and from a book by George Furth, Director Barb Nichols assembled a talented cast of singers and dancers for the production. Music Director Martha Risser conducted a flawless performance by the accompanying orchestra.
Angela Lee Gieras Named New Executive Director of Kansas City Rep
Scott Boswell, chairman of the Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Board of Directors, and Leo E. Morton, chancellor of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), are pleased to announce that Angela Lee Gieras has been appointed executive director of Kansas City Rep. The newly created position will provide additional leadership as the Rep prepares for its 50th anniversary in 2014 and will support the Rep as it continues to strengthen its position as a leading regional theatre. Gieras will begin her new position today, August 1.
