BIO
Cristina Vigil is a born and raised Santa Fean and has been on a steady diet of activism, art, and community care since birth. She was trained in performing arts at Santa Fe Performing Arts, Alvord Elementary, and College of Santa Fe. She received her high school diploma through an accelerated program at the Santa Fe Career Academy and has since been working as a Scopist (or specialized proofreader, for the uninitiated) to court reporters and transcriptionists. She is also a member of the longest running burlesque troupe in Santa Fe, Zircus Erotique, and a former member of the Meow Wolf immersive performance crew. She currently resides on the southside of Santa Fe with her two dogs, Goat and Candie.

In this crazy world today, sometimes you just need a little reminder to relax and enjoy the moment. This is the message received when seeing Cebollas, the latest offering at Santa Fe Playhouse, running through November 10. This new work is a one-act road trip comedy, from the writer of La Lluvia (SF Playhouse’s New Play Reading Series) and Prima’s Guide to Funerals (Creede Rep).

Typhoon, part of Teatro Paraguas' local playwrights series, is a 10-minute sketch by Alix Hudson. A silly Valentine's story originally created for Ironweed Production’s memorable 2016 site-specific production Creating a Scene in a Restaurant, Typhoon makes its Zoom premiere at 7pm on February 12th.

Innovative theatre makers across the country have risen to the challenge of creating safe art in the time of COVID - often via Zoom, Twitch, or other conferencing/streaming platforms. Red Bike, directed by Juliet Salazar and presented by Teatro Paraguas, took a different, and decidedly more cinematic route, resulting in an engrossing piece of socially distanced theatre.
