Hell In A Handbag's Annual Benefit THE MORNING AFTER, January 1

The 2019 production of POSEIDON! An Upside-Down Musical was recorded by Peter Neville* in HD with stereo sound at Chicago's Edge Theater. POSEIDON! features book and lyrics by Handbag Artistic Director David Cerda*, music by David Cerda* with Scott Lamberty, direction by Derek Van Barham, music direction by Andrew Milliken and choreography by Breon Arzell.
Underscore Theatre Company Presents its 6th Annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL

Underscore Theatre Company will present its 6th annual CHICAGO MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL, created to showcase and support the growing field of musical theatre creators from Chicago and beyond. The 2020 Festival features full productions of eight new musicals, plus two pay-what-you-can staged readings and a showcase of 10-minute musicals. The Festival will be performed simultaneously on two stages from February 3 - 23, 2020 at The Edge Theater: the Broadway (5451 N. Broadway) and the Off Broadway (1133 W. Catalpa Ave.) in Chicago Edgewater neighborhood. Each full production will receive at least five performances during the Festival. Tickets are currently available at www.cmtf.org. The press 'Sneak Preview,' featuring a sampling of songs from the 2020 Festival, is Monday, February 3 at 8 pm.
WONDER WOMEN: THE MUSICAL Announces Cast and Creative Team

Direct from hit engagements at the 2018 Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival and a 2019 workshop at Studio Tenn in Nashville, TN, Wonder Women: The Musical arrives in Chicago as part of Underscore Theatre Company's 2020 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, running February 8-20, 2020 at The Edge Theatre, 5451 N. Due to popular demand, Kokandy Productions' breakout summer hit HEAD OVER HEELS will add two additional weeks of performances, extending through September 8, 2019 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

The Comrades' Present 2017 Inauguration Day Reading of THE TAMING

The Comrades are pleased to present the Chicago production their 2017 Inauguration Day staged reading of THE TAMING by Lauren Gunderson. Over 40 other theatres across the country are participating in this event. The reading is directed by Kate Leslie and will play the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago) on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00pm, following a performance of the company's winter 2017 production of PRELUDE TO A KISS by Craig Lucas, which is currently running until February 4.
