Corey Parker studied with Uta Hagen and worked under the direction of Herbert Berghof in three productions at the HB Theater. His training includes Mira Rostova, Anthony Abeson and Marat Yusim of the Moscow Art Theater. Corey is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio and of the Ensemble Studio Theater in NY and LA. He worked with the Steppenwolf Theater Company at the Westside Theater and has also appeared at the Public Theater, the St. James, the American Place, Circle Rep, and in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum and at the Coronet. Corey has appeared on camera in: Biloxi Blues, Broadway Bound, Will & Grace, thirtysomething, White Palace, Destiny—the Liz Taylor Story, Mr. and Mrs. Loving, A Mother’s Prayer, How I Got into College, Blue Skies, Touched by an Angel, and has starred in multiple formats: the ½ hour multicamera sitcom “Flying Blind,” on Fox and the one hour single camera drama “Eddie Dodd” on ABC. Also in the PBS/ BBC movie “Lost Language of Cranes.” Corey has coached actors on films, such as Sam Shepard and Wim Wenders’ “Don’t Come Knocking” and Broadway productions such as “Raisin in the Sun.” He is certified to teach the techniques of Ivana Chubbuck and Susan Batson. He has taught at the studios of Susan Batson, Ivana Chubbuck, Lesly Kahn, Michael Howard, John Ruskin and at BramonGarciaBraun. He taught his masterclass at Operafest in Martha’s Vineyard and is a guest artist at Rhodes College in Memphis, where he lives with his wife and son. Corey is active in the indie film community in Memphis, and he has appeared in film festivals at Memphis, Palm Springs, Berlin, and at Cannes.
