Kicking-off it's Stonewall@50 Season, the 16th annual FRESH FRUIT AWARDS of DISTINCTION will be presented Monday, May 6, with the reception at 6:30 p.m. and presentations beginning at 7 p.m. As in past years, the event will be at the Bowery Poets Club, 308 Bowery, New York City.

Joel Schumacher to Helm NEIGHBORHOOD 3 at The Flea
The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's NEIGHBORHOOD 3: REQUISITION OF DOOM, directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, The Client, The Lost Boys) and featuring members of The Bats, the Flea's resident acting company. Previews begin November 9, with opening night slated for Monday, November 16. Says Artistic Director Niegel Smith, "Jennifer Haley's insightful play exposes the chasms within a community consumed by violent video games. It's particularly exciting that The Bats will be guided in this production by the singular vision of Joel Schumacher."
