BIO

Coleman Crenshaw is an actor/director currently based in Kansas City where he also teaches acting, playwriting, and directing to students of all ages. Known mostly as a stage actor, Coleman has appeared in theatres on the east coast of the US, in England, and in Kansas City. He is a strong proponent of local art and artists, championing local theatres, playwriting festivals, and film festivals in an effort to bolster strong artistic communities not limited to traditionally over-saturated "big markets". A very physical actor, Coleman received much of his movement training at Rhode Island College where his graduate training focused on Grotowskian methods of acting. Combined with his more classical undergraduate training at Sterling College (KS), Coleman is often notably subtle while still maintaining the ability to physically transform into many different roles.
