Clay Zambo is composer-lyricist of GREENBRIER GHOST (Spirit of Broadway Theater; BMI, ASCAP/Disney Workshops; Susan Murray, book) and WINDJAMMERS (Northern Sky/American Folklore Theatre, WI; Robin Share, book/co-lyrics).
With playwright Richard Sheinmel: POST MODERN LIVING and LOST IN STATEN ISLAND (La MaMa, published by New York Theater Experience), and DOWNTOWN DYSFUNCTIONALS (Zipper). With composer Scott Ethier: I AM STAR TREK (Edinburgh/London; Rick Vorndran, book); SHLEMIEL CROOKS (Merkin Hall; Sean Hartley/Bob Kolsby, book); “A Mother’s Carol” (recorded by VocalEssence, published by Boosey & Hawkes).
Other work as composer/lyricist includes BLUE APRON and TRANSIT OF VENUS, commissioned and premiered by Marymount Manhattan College; PUSS IN BOOTS (SecondStory Rep, WA), and more than a dozen musicals premiered at NYC’s Kaufman Center including THEY FLY, YO! JONAH, and the Chanukah favorite, "The Ballad of Thomas the Shammus."
