At the end of our first year in Boston University's School of Theatre performance core, we declare our major to decide the theater performance training we'll focus on: BFA Acting or Theatre Arts. For some the decision is easy, whereas for others (*cough cough…* me) it most definitely isn't.
Al Hirschfeld Gallery And Other NYC Landmarks To Present Two-Man A CHRISTMAS CAROL With Live Music
a??a??a??a??a??a??a??Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a Play with Music will make its New York City Debut in December 2019 with twelve performances across four city landmarks after last year's successful run in Boston. This two-man production features Dickens' original language supported by beloved Christmas songs and old-fashioned Foley-style sound effects, all performed live (see video sneak-peek here).
New Rep to Tour A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, 7/13-20
New Repertory Theatre announces A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare, performed at a variety of locations in the Greater Boston area from July 13-20, 2014. Presented by New Repertory Theatre's Classic Repertory Company and directed by Clay Hopper, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will be free and open to the public with donations accepted.
New Repertory Theatre to Stage Two Free MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM Performances, 8/30
New Repertory Theatre proudly announces hosting two free performances of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Friday, August 30 at both 10am and 2pm, 2013 in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown. The performances are part of Highland Street Foundation's FREE FUN FRIDAYS, offering free admission to a variety of cultural organizations over ten weeks this summer. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning one hour prior to the performance. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM is recommended for ages 12 and up. Olney Theatre Center's THE 39 STEPS Ends Extended Run Tonight, 5/20
Olney Theatre Center, the award-winning, year-round arts and entertainment destination, closes tonight, May 20, The 39 Steps, a comedic twist on Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller. Due to the high volume of advance ticket sales, Olney Theatre Center previously extended the production from its previous run date.
