Leviathan Lab Announces Casting For Barbour Playwrights Award Reading Series
Leviathan Lab, in collaboration with The Episcopal Actors' Guild, is proud to present the thirteenth year of the Barbour Playwrights Award Reading Series, three evenings of readings of new plays by emerging playwrights. This year's plays examine the intersection of racism and sexism across romance and desire, and the toll these crosses exact on the hearts, minds, and bodies of people of color. This year's featured playwrights are Cherry Lou Sy (Nominee, Cherry Lane Mentor Project), Garrett David Kim (Finalist, Blue Ink Playwriting Award), and Ray Yamanouchi (Semi-Finalist, IMPACT-O'Neill National Playwrights Conference).

Playhouse Set To Open British Farce SEE HOW THEY RUN
Saint Michael's Playhouse announces the August 1 opening of Philip King's classic British farce See How They Run. 'In times like these we can all use a couple hours of non-stop laughter and See How They Run offers exactly that. Audience members laugh heartily from beginning to end at the hilarious hijinks and madcap mayhem of this perfectly written British farce,' said Chuck Tobin, Producing Artistic Director, Saint Michael's Playhouse. This is the grand finale of our 71st season,' Tobin continued, 'and it's British comedy at its finest.' Opening Wednesday August 1, 2018, evening performances are August 1 - 4, 7 - 11 (8pm), with matinee performances August 4 and 11 (2pm).

Performances are Wednesday – Saturday evenings 7/5 – 7/8, Today – Saturday 7/11 – 7/15 (8pm curtain), and Saturday matinees 7/8 and 7/15 (2pm curtain).

Lantern Theater Company's DOUBT Begins Next Month
Lantern Theater Company begins the new year with John Patrick Shanley's award-winning play Doubt: A Parable, running January 15-February 15. The production features Philadelphia veteran actors Mary Martello and Ben Dibble in a rare appearance together in a drama. Directed by Lantern Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan, the cast also includes Clare Mahoney and Lisha McKoy.
