Cast Announced for Mint Theater's American Premiere Of CHAINS By Elizabeth Baker At Theatre Row

On March 11th 2020 Mint Theater Company completed casting for their next production, the long delayed American premiere of Chains by Elizabeth Baker, scheduled to open that May.

MSF's Hotly Anticipated 2018 Season On Sale! Artistic Director Janice L Blixt - director of Measure for Measure and The Rover - and Artistic Associate Robert Kauzlaric - director of The Tempest - are excited to share some of the casting decisions already made for the 2018 MSF Season. Many of these decisions were made back in June - July when the season was announced, others are more recent additions to our roster.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the State of Michigan, opened their final two productions of the 2017 Season.  Saturday night was the opening of Shakespeare's political tragedy JULIUS CAESAR starring MSF Artistic Associates Robert Kauzlaric as Brutus and Brandon St. Clair Saunders as Cassius and directed by Producing Artistic Director Janice L Blixt.

Celebrity Chef Lidia Bastianich and Equal Rights Activist Edie Windsor who recently paid a visit to The York Theatre Company production of the Off-Broadway premiere of the new musical Marry Harry, with book by Jennifer Robbins and music and lyrics by Dan Martin and Michael Biello. The composers of Marry Harry have composed a number in the show titled 'Lidia' dedicated to the celebrity chef who was on hand to hear an encore presentation by the cast. Edie Watson and her wife Judith Kasen gathered to cheer on the cast following a recent performance
MSF Announces Major 2017 Season Details at Saturday Night's Triumphant PRIVATE LIVES

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the State of Michigan, designated by the Governor and State Legislature, continued their 2017 "Lend Me Your Ears" reading series with Noel Coward's sophisticated comedy PRIVATE LIVES.  The reading, held at Jackson's Symphony Orchestra Hall (which also houses the offices of the MSF), featured touring company actors Derek Ridge and Sara Long, long-time artistic associate David Blixt, and Producing Artistic Director Janice L Blixt.

Know Theatre of Cincinnati to Present THE HUNCHBACK OF SEVILLE

It's a freakishly cold day in Spain, and the hunchbacked, adopted sister of the dying queen Isabella has to use her formidable intellect to contend with colonial genocide, a forbidden lover, a hellion of an heir, and the mess that is politics in a changing world. An irreverent comedy that turns historical atrocities on their heads in a Tarantino-esque romp, it's a collaboration that brings CCM drama students to Know Theatre's stage for a twisted history you never learned in school.
