Review: THE ODYSSEY at Red Curtain Theatre
At the end of the school year, The Red Curtain Theatre, 913 W Oak Street, in Conway, puts together a program to spotlight what their students have learned over the year. They have voice lessons, dance in all styles, and musical theatre class for students of all ages including adults, done by professionals that truly care about their budding artists. This year, their finale was themed THE ODYSSEY, which was Produced by Kristen Dickerson and Emceed by Kurt Baumann and performed Thursday and Friday, May 23rd and 24th. It had variety with great costumes and an eclectic cohesiveness throughout the storytelling.

Intimate size theatres are my newest favorite way to watch shows, so when I heard that Red Curtain Theatre, 913 W Oak Street, in Conway, was bringing BRIGHT STAR to their newly remodeled performance area May 3-5 and May 10-12, I was intrigued.

The New Group Finalizes Lease for New Administrative Offices
ATCO Properties & Management, one of Manhattan's preeminent owner/operators of Class-A commercial real estate, announced today that it has finalized a five-year lease for contemporary theater organization The New Group's administrative offices at 240 West 35th Street, an 18-story, 165,000 square-foot building in the Garment District. Productions in The New Group's 2018-19 season take place at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

Performance Now Theatre Company proudly presents Meet Me in St. Louis currently playing through October 16 at the Lakewood Cultural Center. Meet Me in St. Louis is a musical based on 'The Kensington Stories' by Sally Benson and the 1944 MGM motion picture Meet Me in St. Louis. It tells the story of an American family living in St. Louis at the time of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition World's Fair in 1904. Their love and respect for each other is tempered with the genuine humor that can only be generated by such a special family. Memorable musical numbers include The Boy Next Door, A Raving Beauty, The Trolley Song, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and the title song, Meet Me in St. Louis.
