BIO

CHRISTOPHER SPAULDING is a performer, choreographer, educator, and creative director celebrating 10 years in New York City. Currently working on The Nutty Professor, past theatrical credits include the original Broadway cast of Curtains, the original Off-Broadway company of Rock of Ages, and numerous regional theaters across the country; with television appearances on the Academy Awards, the Tony Awards, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Rosie Show. Most recent choreography credits include currently-running, national television commercials for Grey Goose and Head & Shoulders. Other highlights include the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway, Showchoir Camps of America, and the USA Network. Christopher earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU, is the Vice President of the non-profit organization Broadway in South Africa, and is Founder and Executive Director of Broadway Showchoir Connect. He resides in the East Village.

THE NUTTY PROFESSOR Cast Will Reunite at Birdland for NYC Debut on 2/15

On February 15 (7PM), The Broadway at Birdland concert series will present the award-winning cast of the 2012 world premiere production of Nutty Professor, the musical written by Rupert Holmes and the late, great Marvin Hamlisch. Julius Kelp, the social-misfit egghead college Professor, becomes committed to changing himself for the better after meeting progressive and idealistic transfer student Stella Purdy. He concocts a potion that transforms him into crooner, the suave and slick Buddy Love. His radical solution for a personal upgrade works, but not as he predicted. Nutty Professor has a book and lyrics by Tony winner Rupert Holmes and music by the late Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch, who died unexpectedly during the world premiere Nashville run.

Broadway in South Africa Holds Final Program with Chicago Children's Choir this Month

Since 2009, Broadway South Africa has conducted empowerment through the arts programming in disadvantaged communities throughout South Africa. Gerard Canonico and More Set for York Theatre Company's Developmental Reading of A GIRL CALLED VINCENT Today

The York Theatre Company, launches the NEODevelopmental Reading Series with the workshop presentation of the new musical, A Girl Called Vincent, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay, with music written and composed by Carmel Dean, directed by Dick Scanlon and music direction by Charity Wicks. The six-member cast will feature Gerard Canonico, Van Hughes, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Kelvin Moon Loh, Bonnie Milligan and Dani Shay.
