The resident theater company of the Straz Center now turns their eyes to Lucy Kirkwood's Hedda, a gripping modern-day adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler, on stage in a North American professional premiere May 10 - Jun. 2, 2019.

Selected Winners of Musical Inspirations Art Contest to Debut at Gheens Foundation Great Expectations Concert

Winners have been announced for the unique Musical Inspirations Art Contest, hosted by The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts and Louisville Orchestra. The selected winners' pieces will make their public debut at the Gheens Foundation Great Expectations concert on February 7. The prizewinning art work will be projected onto large screens while the Louisville Orchestra and the Louisville Youth Orchestra combine forces to perform the music that inspired their art: the complete Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky.

As BWW reported earlier this evening, comedian and Academy Award-winning actor Robin Williams died this morning, August 11, 2014, of an apparent suicide. He was 63. A slew of stars took to Twitter following the announcement to express their gratitude to the performer and wish him well.
