BIO

Christopher Macchio is a gifted performer with a tenor voice of exceptional power and beauty. A classically trained tenor from the Manhattan School of Music, the NY native has been wowing audiences the world over by combing his golden-era sound with an emotive stage presence that resonates with people of all ages and backgrounds. This broad appeal allows him to perform classical arias in Italian, French, English and German, while also becoming famous for his ability to perform in Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew, Turkish, and even Arabic. Christopher’s facility with languages has been combined with his expanding repertoire of crossover material for those with an ear for a more modern and contemporary sound, allowing him to touch the hearts of audiences on every continent, and from every walk of life.

Mr. Macchio has fueled his growing reputation through extensive media exposure, including his new bi-lingual Italian-English radio show “Cosmopolita” on 88.7FM WRHU New York, numerous appearances on network television, including LIVE performances at the annual Columbus Day Parade on ABC-TV, NBC-TV, and culminating in his PBS Television special “Bell’Aria: LIVE from Las Vegas”, filmed at the fabulous Venetian Resort. In 2014 Christopher began a world tour, performing concerts in 7 languages during trips across Turkey, Mexico, and Italy, and into 2015 with appearances in The United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Poland, and Paris, France.

His continuing success as a thrilling music act has now brought him to the next level as the newest member of The New York Tenors, joining “Irish Tenor” Andy Cooney and “America’s Tenor” Daniel Rodriguez in sold-out appearances across the United States, including a Christmas show at Carnegie Hall this past December that earned Christopher standing ovations after every piece he performed.

Recently, Mr. Macchio caught the attention of celebrity developer, entrepreneur, and presidential candidate Donald J. Trump, performing as the special guest artist for his annual star-studded New Year’s Eve Party at his Private Club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, FL. That same evening, Christopher also accepted a personal invitation to perform with Rock-n-roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart at a concert in Beverly Hills, CA., along with the legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Having now captured the imaginations of celebrities, concert promoters, and a diverse international fan-base, Christopher Macchio now stands poised to use his broadcast, solo and ensemble performing careers to catapult him to greater successes as he begins a concert tour of casinos across North America! His exploits can be followed online though his website, www.christphermacchio.com, through social media, and experienced on his debut album, DocliMomenti, which showcases a stylistic range that can delicately draw an audience in, and
then build to a virtuoso climax that leaves
goosebumps on the arms and tears in the eyes.

Garibaldi Meucci's Annual Luncheon Celebrates Staten Island Hurricane Recovery

Those attending the annual brunch for the Garibaldi Meucci Museum (GMM) were treated to a day of wonder, they were able to see the sites of Staten Island with its recovery efforts following hurricane Sandy. But most of all, it was an opportunity to be able to participate in an annual effort to help maintain, and preserve the famed Garibaldi Meucci Museum, now a landmark on Staten Island and in the City of New York. The home in which the Hero of Two Worlds, Giuseppe Garibaldi, lived with Inventor Antonio Meucci, was built sometime about 1843 and moved to its present site from across the street from its current property.
