The Road Theatre Company is back with in-person readings on its Magnolia stage! It’s been over 18 months since the theatre doors have been closed but The Road Theatre - led by Founding Artistic Director Taylor Gilbert, together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director - is leading the charge with 2 weeks of new work developed within its “Under Construction” group.

California Artists Unite For The Passage Of The Performing Arts Relief Act
Artists throughout the state of California are uniting for the passage of Senate Bill 805 (SB 805), titled, “The Performing Arts Relief Act,” which the Senate Labor Committee will vote on Wednesday, April 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Sacramento, CA. A Coalition of 36 small 99-seat non-profit theaters and freelance performers are banding together to make theater accessible to all.

BAKERSFIELD MIST Virtual Staged Reading Announced June 15
The next event in Off the Page, the ongoing series of staged play readings presented by Sierra Madre Playhouse, is Bakersfield Mist. This was originally intended as a live event earlier this year, but will now be presented as a virtual staged reding (online) on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. This event will be the first in a projected series of Sierra Madre Playhouse Virtual Online events.
